Yeah, I've been bored since filling out my last university application in the late morning/early afternoon.
So I created an activity for myself (homework? What homework?) and went around asking a few friends if I could skewer a picture of their and post it up.
was the first to respond. And the first to give me the green light.
I got inspired by an art project that I helped my brother with. He had to: 1) take a portrait of anyone (no relation necessary) 2) skewer the face with man-made objects (ex: buttons for eyes, hook for the curve of an ear...) 3) use Photoshop to do it (meaning that I had to show him how it worked for at least an hour)
So I decided to do a variation of that...there're like, 41 layers for this with their own levels of opacity...during this whole thing, I found out where most of my tools are, which will make my life way simpler when I use the program to do any future projects. For those wondering what I used, I used pictures of roof shingles, bark, flower petals, seaweed, rope, guitar picks, nails, a steel rod, black velvet, copper wiring, a silver wedding band plus who knows what else...and I was going crazy at the end of it.
SO YOU'D BETTER ENJOY IT.
...Oh, and the title is based off my boredom and a song by Tryo, "Comme les journees", which I don't feel like talking about right about now, because dA hates all things French...so just whip out youtube and listen to it...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
