I COULDN'T GET A KOALA BEAR D:

Wed Jul 30, 2008, 9:08 AM
  • Mood: Sadness
  • Listening to: Washing machine whirls
  • Reading: Book lists
  • Watching: My summer die prematurely
So instead, I decided to settle with the memories and photographs. And my oh my are they divine.

SO we left Montreal at about 5 PM to arrive at LA at about 8 PM local time (meaning it was 11 PM for me and I needed to lie down somewhere). Four hours later, we board a QANTAS flight. Destination Sydney. I sleep for the first half, don't bother to eat the meal, which was apparently pretty good, seeing as QANTAS isn't like Air Canada and actually CARES about you.

14 hours later, we are July 4th at about 9 AM. We're tired. We're hungry. We can't stand the smell of us. Yet we still go out and about to visit the Aquarium. Then the Opera House. And look at that, our rooms in the hotel are ready, so let's shower and grab a bite to eat, then pass out in our beds until the next morning.

To make a long story short, from July 4th to July 18th, we visited Sydney, Kangaroo Island (way down south, where we were able to feed kangaroos and koalas in a sanctuary lolwhut), Ayer's Rock (where I encountered a fear of near-vertical ledges), King's Canyon (where we did a 4 hour walk in 2 1/2), Darwin, Kakadu National Park, Cairns and the surrounding area.

On the 19th we go see a little film called The Dark Knight, then take a plane back to Sydney. We spend the night there and then head off to French Polynesia, more precisely Tahiti. Instantly we're back at the 19th of July. Visit Tahiti during the 20th before we head to Easter Island. Visit the whole place in three days, then head back to Tahiti. Leave for some down time at Bora Bora for half a week. Then we go back to Tahiti on the 28th and take a plane to LA. After a wait and an earthquake, we leave for Montreal and arrive at 9 PM local time. Our luggage takes almost an hour to come out of the plane and into our hands. We take a shuttle back to our car, that we parked at the Hilton. Then we drive back home and arrive past 10:30.

I go to sleep at 11 PM and wake up at 11:33 AM. And here I am now, looking at my report card, which indicates that I failed 5 classes out of 17 throughout the year and have an R score of an exact numeral between 20 and 25. I have homework to do for my first day of school. Mainly reading, which I can do anytime, anywhere.

Now I need to meet with my friends, work out with one of them, re-pass my driver's license thing, get a haircut, get piercings, get my books and do my stinking homework. Oh, and start looking for university programs and work my tail off to get the best damn results ever.

FUN. TOTALLY NOT.

Oh well, you can't always be fucking amazing in life. Otherwise you aren't learning anything at all. And yes, my parents are giving me a hard time, but I've been getting hard times since I was in 9th grade, since they don't like having a child who's an average student...*grumblegrumblegrumble*

And we should totally get piercings together...just let me get my dad to drive me and pay for earlobe mutilation and it's DONE.

Boy do I have some stories to tell you...
